Surprise Transfer
Wow, what a week! I don't have a ton of time, so this will be short, but quite a lot happened. First and most surprising is that I got emergency transferred and am now training. This is crazy because just 4 weeks ago I was training, but it's all good. My companion and I have 4 weeks in the field, and we are opening an area. It has really opened up my Spanish abilities because now it is very much obligatory. But we are doing great and spent this week finding lots of people to teach and invite.
The sad part is I had to leave Rimac and leave the district with Elder Smith and Elder Morales. This was sad, but that's just how it goes on the mission.
We also had a baptism this week of a Hermana that was receiving lessons for years and had never been baptized. We extended the invitation a while back, and now she is a very strong member of the church. She was baptized and received the Holy Ghost to accompany her through tough moments. I learned from this that we need to always be inviting people to come unto Christ constantly. We never know their situation, but they are on the Lord's timing, and we can help point them to the door where he is waiting on the other side with arms stretched out full of love. I invite you to think of someone you can help find their way to Christ this week by inviting them to take action and seek him out.
Thanks for all the support and love; I appreciate all of you so much. Take care!
Elder Green
